U.S. Women’s Olympic Field Hockey coach Lee Bodimeade and Men’s National Team coach Nick Conway along with team members, trained 45 H.S. athletes at Olympic Training Center in San Diego, CA July 14-16th 2008.

Coaches included Women’s Olympic team co-caption Carrie Lingo and teammates Dina Rizzo & Amy Tran. Torrey Pines H.S. in San Diego, CA had the most girls attending, ten Sophomores, nine on the Torrey Pines ‘08 JV team, undefeated Avocado League Champion. JV coach Analia Carlsson said the team’s passion for the sport made her fall in love with field hockey again.

OTC camp participating Futures U-16 Olympic Development Athletes included; ‘08 Junior Olympics Gold Medal Winner Carly Schoch Bonita Vista H.S. ‘10, and ‘08 European Hockey Federation Barcelona training camp attendee Sophie Edelman Torrey Pines H.S. ‘11.

Torrey Pines Sophomores trained by Jose Carrillo, former head coach Futures Elites US Field Hockey Southern California region.

Camp organized by Pacific Storm, Paula Conway director, Samantha Bodimeade assistant director. U.S. Olympic BMX Bicycle team is seen training next door.

UPDATE: Torrey Pines Sophomores team, San Diegans USA, win prestigious Fair Play Cup at Valkenswaard, The Netherlands International Easter Tournament 2009 for Top Teams Under 16. First U.S. club team invited in tournament’s twenty year history, brings home largest trophy out of field of twenty four teams from twelve countries.

Coaches for Valkenswaard tournament were USA Field Hockey team members Brian Schledorn of the Men’s National Team and Lauren Powley from the Women’s Olympic Team. Jose Carrillo is team manager/trainer. Sophie Edelman/Carly Schoch captains
