I know trash talking is a part of hockey, but I’ve always been curious as to what exactly are the types of things they say to each other. Does anybody who plays hockey, know what it’s like?
if you watch youtube videos of players bickering to each other across the bench or during faceoffs, it’s usually insults directed at the other person’s skills, wife, or maniless. I’m pretty sure homophobic slurs make up 90% of all trash talking in hockey.

Its a location situation type of trash talk ussually related to something that has happened in the game or a previous meeting between two players it is rarely a staged theatrical trashtalk like you see in other sports as you dont have tim to think about anything but what you are doing at that moment in ice hockey.
