umm that chest …
umm that chest protector is a Vaughn Epic 8800…goes for about $450 and is still a top of the line model. And the pads are Smith 5000, which are the 2nd latest Smith model and the newest when the video was produced. The helmets not pro level but he’s just doing a demonstration. Anyway, is there a reason the bottom strap on the pads is leather while the others are nylon clip style? Is it just to avoid a big buckle at the achiles tendon, or is it supposed to strap through some loop behind the skates or something? Thanks.
