If not, my holidays are ruined
I live in Canada, I just don’t get TSN because I don’t have cable, just satellite. Anyways, GO CANADA!

I don’t know but why does it matter. Hockey is hockey. The juniors are awesome mainly because Canada always wins gold.

He was playing in a league that was for future pro’s and he was the leading scorer. What happened?

Adam Oates made his legacy at RPI (Renesselar Poly Inst.) an American college in Troy NY, not junior leagues. You are correct that he went undrafted but after winning the NCAA Championship and setting numerous scoring records he became a very sought after free agent. The Wings ultimately won a bidding war and signed him for an unheard of deal of 1mill. over 4 years (and the hockey owners world was not happy with that deal). He was largely overlooked because back then very few state college players were regarded as good enough…most went through the Canadien Juniors system and many considered him of marginal size. Obviously they were wrong but then again they are so wrong so often it shouldnt be that big a surprise. That is the beauty of hockey….so many guys who were afterthoughts end up being stars in hockey, more so than any other sport.

Its bad enough to see Americans playing our sport but to lose to the them is another.
There is no God when Americans are allowed to steal our championship on our home ice.
We are supposed to own those devils in red white and blue and now my Country feels less superior now.

We better win Gold in Vancouver!
Now I know how the Russians felt in 1980.

I think it’s great. Canadian hockey has no class. I’m Canadian and think that the teams that represent our country are embarrassing. Really, did they need to beat Latvia 16-0? Did it make them feel like better men? The US beat Latvia 12-1 and the US is better than Canada (clearly). So I guess Canada ran up the score in a very unclassy manner. I wasn’t cheering for the US, it was more about cheering against Canada and their arrogance.

If you can’t get through on that link try this and click http://www.worldjuniors2008.com/ visitors and then on the little drop down menu click tickets – the prices are in Czech Crowns but if you type into any good search engine "(amount) Czech crowns into GBP or USD" it should give you a conversion rate – this will just be rough as alot of websites take different sources for there conversion rate.
